Science & Creativity FUKUOKA
The concept of the Fukuoka City Science Museum is to create the future from Fukuoka as a center of exchange with science and Kansei.
We will develop new activities that blend science and Kansei, making the most of the potential of Fukuoka City. With the science museum as a base, we aim to create the future of Fukuoka and the global environment together with the people of Fukuoka by promoting new exchanges and fostering human resources in Fukuoka.
As a pre-event prior to IPS 2026 FUKUOKA, Full-doll Festivals will be held at the dome theater (planetarium). Short and Feature movies will be projected. We also plan to hold a co-hosted event. Please enjoy viewing the films in the 25m dome.
Presentations by sponsors will be held in the Dome Theater (Planetarium) and Science Hall. Expect promotion of each company in the dome and on the large flat screen.
Paper sessions, workshops, and group discussions will be held in each room. The compact space will allow for close proximity to presenters and active communication.

FKC is located near the Port of Hakata, with convenient bus access from the city center. The FUKUOKA SUNPALACE Hotel is located nearby, and the Fukuoka International Congress Center and Marine Messe Fukuoka are in close proximity, making it a major convention center area.
Sponsors' exhibit booths will be set up in a large space. This will be an opportunity for sponsors and exhibitors to come in contact with the latest technology and the latest works of the sponsors and exhibitors. We are also planning to set up a temporary dome for content creators and research presentations.
In addition, a lunch area and business meeting space will be available to provide a comfortable atmosphere.

We are planning special events at IPS 2026 FUKUOKA and joint sessions with Japanese planetariums, observatories, and astronomy educators.
Of course, we will hold paper sessions, workshops, and group discussions based on the “One Earth, One Sky” theme. Let's exchange ideas and opinions on your daily research, activities, and challenges.
In the main hall, there will be an IPS Business meeting, keynote speeches, and closing ceremony (memorial, awards, photo shoot, etc.). All participants will share the same program.

Enjoying after IPS 2026 Fukuoka
We are planning to visit planetariums, observatories, and places related to astronomy in Japan, as well as the Kyushu area centered on Fukuoka, the site of this year's conference. Expect to have a lot of fun with these post-conference visits. Of course, you can also expect great views, food, and local communication.
